Affidavit Packet Submission Guide
Please follow the steps below in order to complete and submit your affidavit packet for the Kahuina Qualified Resident (Owner Occupant) Market Buyer Program.
Note: To be considered for a market-priced unit at Kahuina during this initial 30-day offering period, applicants must meet the requirements set by HHDFC and complete all steps below.
- Download Qualified Resident (Owner Occupant) Market Buyer Affidavit Packet
- Print Affidavit Packet and get notarized. Please remember to leave the signature portion blank and only sign in front of the notary.
- Must get Pre-Qualified with project-approved Lender (including all cash purchase verification of funds letters): See Full List
- Collect your Documents and submit them to your Kahuina Sales Associate.
- Signed and Notarized Affidavit
- Prequalification Letter from a Project Lender
- Proof of Hawaii Residency (see HHFDC Document checklist)
- If applicable, Resident Alien Card
- Your sales associate will review your affidavit and supporting documents and then submit to HHFDC on your behalf.
- HHFDC can take up to 5 business days to confirm that you are eligible for Unit Selection.
- Upon approval, Your Sales Associate will be in contact with you to select your new home!
FAQ
Where do I submit my affidavit packet?
Please submit your completed Affidavit Packet directly to the Sales Gallery located at 1100 Alakea Street, Suite 102, Honolulu, Hawaiʻi 96813 by November 29, 2025. The Sales Gallery is open from 10 am–5 pm, Monday through Saturday. 1 hour of parking validation will be provided for Alii Place. The Kahuina Sales Gallery is closed on Sunday.
Can I submit my affidavit packet electronically?
Affidavit packet may be submitted electronically as long as the original affidavit is provided prior to Unit Selection.
If I want to participate in the owner occupant release, but I am currently out of state what are my options?
You may have the affidavit form notarized in any state and submit electronically. Please submit the original affidavit to the sales gallery when you return to Hawaiʻi—prior to Unit Selection.
How is Unit Selection order determined?
Unit Selection order is first come first served and is determined by the order of Affidavit Packets that are submitted and approved by HHFDC.
How many homes are in this market release?
95 out of 341 market homes are being released. Please see all units listed for release in the Owner Occupant ad.
How do I get my affidavit notarized?
You may get complimentary notary services at the Kahuina Sales Gallery on Saturdays from 2–4 pm. You may also schedule an appointment with Title Guaranty during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. You may submit your request via email or call their Main Office at 808.521.0237. How do I buy an unrestricted home from this release?
HHFDC requires that 100% of market homes in Kahuina are to be made available first to Hawaiʻi residents who will live in the home for at least 1 year. This requirement applies only for the first 30 days of release. Once this timeline has passed, any remaining homes will be available for sale as an unrestricted home (either investor or owner-occupants can purchase).
If you are interested in purchasing after the 30-day Owner Occupant period, you may fill out a Unit Preference form. A unit will be offered to you once all Buyers in the Owner Occupant release have selected a home. Please work with your Kahuina Sales Associate to discuss your preferences.
