We are excited to announce that Kahuina will begin demolition in July 2026. Kakaako Block C LLC, an affiliate of Stanford Carr Development, held a traditional Hawaiian blessing with project partners, community members, and landowner Ke Kula‘o Kamehameha at 416 Cooke Street.

Led by Kahu Kaleo Patterson, the blessing is an important step to honor the land, acknowledge its history, and invite good fortune and guidance for the project ahead. Demolition of the warehouse at 416 Cooke Street, the first of two structures to be cleared on the site, signals the start of site preparation for the Kahuina development, and supports the continuation of ongoing electrical infrastructure improvements for the district.

Kahuina will bring modern 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom residences to Kaka‘ako, designed with community in mind and shaped to support the needs of local families, offering comfortable and convenient urban living in the heart of Kaka’ako.
